It's Official! Kingston is THE place to live!

We who live in Kingston and surrounding area have known this for a long time. But now the rest of the world knows that if you're looking to get out of the GTA, Kingston is the #1 place to move to, according to the Huffington Post. While the article points out our low unemployment rate and historic downtown, I can tell you it's also because it checks off so many other boxes.

Want good healthcare? Kingston General Hospital, Hotel Dieu and Providence Care hospitals provide unique services to different communities and all are teaching hospitals. The regional cancer centre is located within KGH. So, check.

Enjoy the arts? We have an abundance of opportunities from the grandure of The Isabel, the intimacy of The Grand and many places in between.

How about music? Do we have music. Not only are we home to The Hip, we have many venues where you can hear live music on just about any day (my favourite is Musiikki located at 74 Brock Street) Big check

Hungry? You can't go hungry in Kingston! We have everything from poutine to vietnamese to classic french. And in COVID times, everyone delivers. (Trust me. Starbucks just delivered some fruity concoction to my son at the house. Drink was $7, delivery was $12. Hey, I didn't say it was cheap!).

Finally, for you outdoors/sports enthusiasts, I truly believe Kingston is the place to be. We have so much to do on the lake, or any of the hundreds within an hour's drive including swimming, windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and fishing to name a few. We also have hundreds of kilometres of trails, provincial parks for rock climbing, boating, camping etc. And wintertime is great with our OHL hockey team, curling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and outdoor skating rinks. You have no reason not to be fit in Kingston! (Oh wait. That means I have not reason not to be fit either. Let me think about that...)

Have I convinced you yet to ditch your tiny box in the burbs and come to Kingston? I'm ready when you are to look at homes, whether they be a farm with 50 acres or a waterfront beauty or your first home in one of our many lovely neighbourhoods. Kingston has it all and we're ready for you.
